We do website design.
In the past, static html and scripting gave web designers greater control over site look and feel.
We don’t recommend static html sites for individual customers or small businesses.
- Two reasons
- You need control of your site.
- Content Management Systems (CMS) are easier to customize.
Although static sites can be built to have both static and dynamic components, we don’t recommend this either. One example of this kind of site would be an html site with a blog in a subdomain. This doubles development costs, requiring the creation of two sites under one domain.
Content management systems make sites user-editable through a web browser. These include Wix, Joomla, Drupal, Concrete 5, WordPress, and countless others. We have worked with many of them. If you want to keep your existing site framework, we can work with it.
The most widely used and supported of all CMS powers 60 million websites (2012). A vast repository of plugins created by its user community extends its functionality. Anything you might need has already been done – and there’s a plugin for that.
Many well-known companies built sites on WordPress.
In WordPress, it’s easy to create beautifully-designed front pages, landing pages, static information pages, dynamic content, embedded e-commerce, and multimedia, all optimized to attract search traffic.
WordPress’s internal structure creates logical connections in a site’s content that bring good results for search engine page rank (SERP). Choosing WordPress and taking full advantage of its structure creates an immediate advantage in the competitive world of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Good editorial semantic practices bring superior page rank.
We’ll work with you to develop a customer-focused Internet Strategy. Together we’ll create easy access to your attractive content, optimized for discovery and social networking.
You will have the ability to manage your site. We’ll remain available for updates and coaching.
The best site is the one you control.
We’ll create your site structure, hard-coding structural elements as needed.
We do not hard-code your content (with a few exceptions in custom design). All aspects of site content management will be within your reach. You will be able to make changes without waiting for the’web guy’ to get back to you. We offer maintenance contracts for busy clients on request.
